The LUMIERE exhibition: Christian Lacroix is given carte blanche at the Cognacq-Jay Museum
In the exceptional setting of the hotel Donon, a XVIe century structure renovated in 1990, in the Marais district, the Cognacq-Jay Museum has decided to call on the creative Christian Lacroix’s services, for the renewal of its path.
In a wonderful woodwork atmosphere, the museum presents rich decorative works from the XVIIIe century. Christian Lacroix has selected around forty contemporary artists, whose works are combined with the museum’s permanent collection. Faithful to his universe, the couturier offers a path around one of his favorite subjects: the costume, in every shape and form.
The confrontation between textile works and the museum collections, settled in the period, strikes a chord with the selected contemporary installations, to offer the public an amazing visit.
We highly advise you this exhibition, of which settings and creations will surely remind you of the special atmosphere of our hotel Le Bellechasse Saint-Germain.
Open from 10 am to 6 pm, from Tuesday to Sunday from November 19th, 2014 to April 19th, 2015.
Closed on Mondays and public holidays.
