La comédie Française
Comédie-Française or Théâtre-Français, founded in 1680, is the only national theatre in France with a permanent troupe of actors: the Troupe des Comédiens-Français.
Although he had been dead for seven years when the troupe was created, Molière is considered to be the 'patron' of the institution, nicknamed the 'House of Molière'. The programme includes performances of his works.
